No i don’t think it’s right because it is an invasion of privacy.
however this is a possible risk of being on facebook and can happen anytime. the best thing you can do if you apply for a job is to keep your facebook as professional as possble. ok I helped terry out.

The potential employer will look at any and all information available to try to get a good idea of the person they are hiring to see if you are a good fit with their company.
There is NO privacy on Facebook or any of those other sites. If you want privacy, then stay away from those venues.
I don’t think employers should look at potential employees personal sites. I also think when people are getting out of college and are looking for jobs, they should remove all the foolish pictures of themselves. I’m sure the people hiring have done their share of partying, but when it’s out there for all the world to see…it’s fair game!
while it does invade privacy, I think it’s important and okay for job interviewers to do so because how your portrayed outside of the workplace could directly or inadvertently affect your employer. plus I’m sure that a company would not want to associate themselves with someone who portrays themselves negatively
No, because what if the site is hacked and shows bad things? Also- you show a different side at work than you do in real life.
