internet privacy?
i have often wondered about internet privacy. right now at the moment i am planning a surprise for my girlfriend and am using the internet for a great deal of my research and planning. now im not afraid of any theives stealing my idea!!! my concern is that my girlfriend works in the company we get our internet from. can she see what i am doing on the internet from in work!?

how good is she on a PC?
you can at least find what website a particular machine is going visiting by use of a packet sniffer. the thing is, she will only be able to see your maching by its DNS name or ip address, there's not much else she'll be able to identify you with unless she's REALLY good, like FBI in the movies good (she could use your computer name to search your hard drive and find a file identifying you). Basically, go ahead and surprise her, just don't tell anyone, that's what you should really be worried about.
