Is your social security number still secret after it has been entered into a computer?
This collection agency keeps telling me I owe them money. I disagree. They claim I purchased a membership from their client. I did’nt. I got taken by a negative option marketing campaign. No way I would actually fork over some real money to buy this virtual product! I called them, they say I am not a member. The collection agency says they have the last 4 digits of my social security number, so they have proof I made the purchase. Every time I do a spyware scan, I find a cookie that is a data miner I did not know about. Would a data miner record my ss# as a bit of valuable information and give it to the spammer who put it in my computer?
