I have Windows Vista as a operating system. I recently had i.was.blaster.keylogger enter my computer. It is bringing up security warnings and telling me to enter credit card information to get rid of it. My firewall and antivirus will not work now, i cannot open any of my folders and i can get on internet explorer to certain pages but it then redirects me to a antivirus webpage. I looked up the worm and the information i got was that it is a trojan alert that secretly
downloaded by the trojan. Once installed, It will display
fake windows security warning alert and start offering paid
version of the software. Every message generated by
Lsas.Blaster.Keylogger can be ignored because they are all falsified.
I also found information that said to get rid of it by ending
the process 933597125.exe and removing/deleting
the whole folder where file 692527612.exe together
with other related files (3 files for language set
up and other 2 files) was located on
C:/Document and Settings/All users/Application Data/33597125
however when i try to go to my task manager the security alert comes up and wont let me open task manager.
Can someone help me ? I really dont want to have to format the computer and lose everything if i dont have to.
Thanks!!!
also i tried going into safe mode and running my anti virus and when i click on it nothing happens and will not load up. I will try the suggestions given and hope one works. Thanks so much!!!
okay so i tried the websites to download the anti spyware and it lets me download but when i go to run and install it the security alert comes up saying its infected and will not allow it to do anything. I tried changing the filename and it still does the same thing. Is there any free antispyware programs online that may do it without downloading?
