I need help with my computer. It’s an HP computer with Windows 7 on it and I use Mozilla Firefox with AdBlock Plus.
I wanted to go to youtube and typed in the address but when it was going there I misspelled it to youtbe. By the time I realized it, it was already too late. It went to some survey site saying it was Youtube, I tried hitting the "X" square to get out but then it took me to some advertising site with some window in the middle about some deal.
Then I thought CRAP!!!. I immediately hit Ctrl, Alt, Del and closed it through Task Manager. Then I was worried my computer got a computer virus. So I just did a full system scan with Norton Internet Security, it said my computer was secure.
I opened disk cleanup to delete any files that were there like Temporary Internet Files and Thumbnails. I also opened up the Internet Options box and deleted everything from the Internet like history, form data, add on data, etc.
But I’m worried my computer has a virus and Norton may not be picking it up. I don’t want to turn off computer because I’m worried the virus will infect right there and then.
What should I do? It’s already 11:31 at night, so I can’t get tech support, I need help, please!!
