How do we stop UK Companies from disrespecting our privacy?
Many of us know that there is a Telephone Protection Service
( The TPS) They can be contacted and your Telephone registered for action to stop Nuisance Calls .Especially by Companies trying to sell you something . It helps .
But now British Companies are utilising Firms based In INDIA and Pakistan to ring your home and ask you personal Questions without first Identifying themselves . Today I was told by one such a caller that he would ring me everyday if I declined to give him answers . The TPS tells me they are unable to do much about this ,as those firms cannot be controlled . I have made up my mind never to give any details to anyone who would have the potential to profit by selling it to others. Have you a better workable solution ?
Try contacting your phone supplier, a similar thing happened to my in-laws they were given a pin number to give to their friends, only people with that pin number will be able to connect to your number so only give it to people you trust, otherwise they may be able to change your number without any charge (This was with BT)
