The concept of the personal sovereignty is becoming more and more important, because there is such a need. There is a changing mood around the world about our collective work, the responsibilties of our respective governments, and issues surrounding personal privacy versus the greater good of society as a whole.
Freedom is a precious commodity. Perhaps "We the People" do not seriously consider the erosion of our individual sovereignty, or maybe there is a sense of apathy, possibly a diversion of the moment at hand, as people become more concerned only with the struggles of the moment. Tough economic times bring out both the best and worst in people.
The Sovereign Journey is not intended to be of a political bent. In many ways it is concerned with the needs of self, and can be considered self-centered as only for the needs of the individual.
Here is how the concept of the Sovereign Indivudual is described at Wikipedia.
"Self-ownership (or sovereignty of the individual, individual sovereignty or individual autonomy) is the concept of property in one’s own person, expressed as the moral or natural right of a person to be the exclusive controller of his or her own body and life. According to G. Cohen, the concept of self-ownership "says that each person enjoys, over herself and her powers, full and exclusive rights of control and use, and therefore owes no service or product to anyone else that she has not contracted to supply.
The writers William Rees-Mogg and James Dale Davidson described those possessed of a mind conducive to self-ownership as sovereign individuals, which have supreme authority and sovereignty over their own choices, without the interference of governing powers, provided they have not violated the rights of others. This notion is central to classical liberalism, individualistic political philosophies such as abolitionism, ethical egoism, rights-based libertarianism, objectivism, and anarchism. Sovereign-minded individuals would then seem to prefer an atmosphere consisting of decentralized administrative organizations acting as servants to the individual."
Any form of government can become a tyranny. The Sovereign Life Review is intended as a beacon of what could be playing out on the world stage.
