My employer wants to build a profile page on the business website that includes my picture and require me to release personal info (although harmless) such as city I live in, likes, dislikes etc. I DO NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE so what are my options?
Am I protected under any kind of law?
Is my employer legally allowed to do this?
Do I have any rights or options to opt out?
I worry about identity theft etc. There is also NOTHING in our handbooks/company policy about employee privacy.
